Cars to Miraflores

Miraflores is around 45 minutes drive from Madrid Airport. Cheap cars can be booked using, e.g, EasyCar (http://www.easycar.es) has small cars currently at around 31 Euro per day (but prices rise with time). Later we will provide instructions for driving to Miraflores.

From the north, take the M-607 past Colmenar Viejo, and turn off at the sign indicating Soto del Real (M 609). Go directly through Soto (2 roundabouts) (now the M-611). The first village you hit will be Miraflores. At the centre (the congested zone), veer left, onto the raod towards Rasca Fria. As soon as you are clear of the town, about 2km up the road you will see a sign for "La Cristalera" on your left. Enter and park.  This is summarized in this map.

Take the big periferial highway M-40. If you come from the south, Portugal, or the Zaragoza Highways, take direction North (N-I). If you come from the Burgos Highway (N-I) take the direction M-607 Tres Cantos- Colmenar Viejo. Go out of the M-40 to the M-607 Highway towards Tres Cantos-Colmenar viejo. When the Highway ends (roughly 30 km) take the direction Miraflores. After 30 km you will reach the village. Once there, follow the signs towards La Cristalera, or Puerto de la Morcuera. One km outside the village you will find the entrance to the residence on your left (but watch out for it since sign is not a big one and may be missed ). You can plan your trip here
